Biography

Executive leadership with operating depth.

Dr. Rayan Aava has spent more than 25 years leading healthcare organizations through growth, transition, and turnaround. His career spans hospitals and inpatient operations, behavioral healthcare and substance-use treatment, outpatient and multi-site services, and healthcare startups—often in situations requiring direct operating authority over complex clinical, financial, and regulatory environments.

That work has included responsibility for complex P&L environments, multidisciplinary teams, clinical program development, financial and revenue-cycle restructuring, licensing and accreditation, organizational culture, and enterprise growth. Across those mandates, a consistent pattern emerged: healthcare organizations rarely fail for lack of clinical talent or good intentions—they struggle when the operating systems behind the care cannot keep pace with the mission.

Aava Healthcare Management Group was founded to close that gap. Rather than advising from the outside, Dr. Aava built a healthcare management and operating company that takes direct responsibility for execution—leading implementation, owning accountability, and building organizations designed to sustain exceptional care. The firm is delivered through his executive leadership and a specialist operating network engaged deliberately for each mandate, under a single line of accountability.

His operating philosophy is direct: strategy without execution creates little value, and execution without accountability creates none. It is the standard he holds every engagement to—and the reason Aava operates rather than advises.
